ALIVE & WELL!
I made it to Guatemala! It always surprises me how God always provides and comes in a time of need. We flew into Guatemala City and took local vans and busses 2-3hrs north to where we are currently staying in a city called Quiche. All 46 members of my squad made it safely to quiche and in a timely manner, which I can only accredit to God’s astounding providence. We are staying with a ministry called Agape in Action, which has several different outreach ministries including prison ministry, orphanages and a local hospital as well as several more. These first few days have been relaxing as ministry will start tomorrow (Monday) and has given me a chance to work on my Spanish and enjoy Guatemalan culture. I love to be a part of the culture and have enjoyed it especially since today
(September 15) is Independence Day. We are currently living the “high life” now in a hostel like setting with beds and a group shower. Internet is only a mile away and food here is amazingly cheap. Thank you to those of you who have continued to pray for me on this journey and the safe arrival to Quiche Guatemala.
My current prayer requests are:
- For me to fulfill the role of logistics accordingly as we need to plan safe travels and lodging in Nicaragua this coming October.
- That my personal experiences and faith will lead me to grow in Christ Jesus more and more each day.
- That me and my squad will represent Christ in our separate ministries with an open mind, listening to what God would have for us in each moment.
Keep me in your prayers and may God bless Guatemala!
Psalm 66:19-20 "God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. Praise be to God who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me!
