While helping on the serve team here God has allowed me to speak to almost every single one of the alumni racers here and ask pertinent questions: What was your biggest regret? Would you do the race again, knowing what you know now? What did you benefit from most on the race? My favorite question to ask oddly enough was the first, 'What was your biggest regret?'. Amazingly enough I found most racers answering the question the same. They all wish that they had poured into other people either on their squad, their contacts, or just regular John/Jane does on the street. This changed my viewpoint and perspective of what the race is about so much! Now I have a little more understanding that the race is all about relationships…Godly relationships. By walking in prayer and constantly speaking to God racers are able to hear what God is telling them and pour into others around them with a passionate love. While during the first few months (or maybe all the way up to month 11) racers may not have that passionate love for their teamates, but overtime God will turn their hearts around and give them the ability to love. HOW FREAKING AWESOME IS THIS?!
