Standing in a Romanian school today God has shown me of His immense love that He shows to us from the day we are born. My team and I were singing a few songs in English and asked to give a word on God's love to a class of 11 year olds.
As Eric (Team Leader) finished giving a mini sermon on the love God has for us, I heard the Father whisper into my ear "stories". When Eric had finished I stepped forward and announced I had one more thing to add to the message.
I told the class that Gods love for them was immense and great. I encouraged them by telling them that their life is a testimony of Gods love and grace that He is glorified by. I said to them, "You all have a story. It is precious because it is Gods story of how He loves you!" Then I asked the children if they had ever experienced or seen Gods love in their life and asked them to share it.
A few of the children gave some awesome examples of how God had saved them from a car wreck, or provided a safe flight, and even how God had provided them the ability to finish a test on time! But the story that touched my heart the most was given by a 5 year old girl who was a sibling to the 10 year old who was translating for us.
Her name is Naria and as she raised her hand so quietly and sweetly I felt my heart leap with joy! I pointed to her to speak and she slowly stood up. On her feet she shyly lifted her head up and began to share her story IN ENGLISH! She said, "One time I fell in the parking lot and scratched my knee. My parents put a bandaid on it and I prayed and asked God to help. When I got home we took the bandaid off and God healed my knee!" This little girls eyes were beaming with joy and love from the Father as she told this story!
How beautiful the Fathers love truly is as He shows us His love at such a young age! To be child-like in having their faith is truly the way into Gods everlasting love!
