Day 5
Well God did it again folks! I'm wrecked and don't know what to do about it! It's day 5 of my depending on God for all my needs month and tonight He really did it!
I had been given money to go by groceries for myself for a few days and as I went with Abby and Jan to go get them we were hit up by 4 different homeless people for food and money. Jan told me back when he joined my team that God had told him to always give to people when asked and I've decided to do the same trusting God will always provide.
The first guy we approached asked Jan for food. Jan ended up taking him with us to the grocery store and spending the majority if his money on food for this guy. While in the store Abby and myself were asked to buy a man a meal he was holding in his hand and we pitched in the money and bought it for him.
After getting Jan food and paying for everything we began the walk home. As we exited the supermarket we were stopped again by this kid begging for food so that he could feed his sister. "Please all I want is a loaf of bread to give my sister!" Abby gave him a cliff bar and we all stood there taxed by the heaviness that loomed our hearts. "Please just some bread! It's for my younger sister!" I felt the Holy Spirit asking me, "Do you trust me?" At this I have the kid the loaf of bread I had just bought.
Walking away I realized how full I was. Full of the Holy Spirit, full of His undying love, and physically full if food even though I went into the store hungry and hasn't eaten a thing! That's right! Haha I am completely and totally content and not in need of dinner! I think God has literally filled my stomach!
God has blessed me so much for just having a little bit if faith in Him. I cannot wait to see what else He will do!
