As many of you know, I applied for Medical school this year and didn't get in. So for the last few months, my question to the Lord has been- what should I do with a year off as I re-apply? Where can I most glorify you? On a spring break trip to Haiti, my first mission trip, the Lord answered my prayer.

But first, let me summarize the main things I learned while in Haiti:
1) God is powerful. He is incredibly, wonderfully, awesomely powerful. The testimonies I heard and the things I saw in Haiti revealed how good and powerful He is.
2) I have a really hard heart. One of my bigger prayers for the trip was that God would break my heart and give me eyes more like His and a heart more like His. This process showed me how un-compassionate I can be.

So how did the Lord answer my prayer? Well, Josh Woodmansee was on our team, and he is a former world racer and now works for WR. After conversing with him, WR started to consume my thoughts and prayers. When I got back from the trip, I spent time working with my pre-med advisor and WR to see if I could both re-apply to medical school and do WR. To make a long story short, God provided in incredible ways. His power and provision is evident in how it all worked out, and now my next year will consist of both re-applying and doing WR!

I could not be more excited to begin the journey, and I am excited to pursue the character of God more and an intimate, deep relationship with Him. I will strive always to fear God, love God, and desire God.

Philippians 4:19
Any my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
