A huge ministry of my race (especially as a team leader) was to the people on my team. Everyone came into the trip at different spots spiritually, and each person has grown uniquely. My hope for the women is that each of them feel solid in their faith, are able to recognize and fight lies that come to them, and choose spouses that will lead them well and help them grow in their intimacy with Jesus and in the Word. My desire for the men is that they continue to live godly lives, that they would disciple and help other men grow, and that they would love their wives as Christ loves the church. I loved the opportunity to help my squad mates grow, and am grateful for the ways they challenged me and helped my growth as well.

2. Relationships/Discipling with the kids in India
Oh how I loved those kids! India was one of the best months on the race, and I loved spending intentional time with the kids and teaching Bible studies. It was a blast.

3. Ministry to contacts in every country
The local pastor/leader we worked with in every country was always a part of our ministry. We had some phenomenal ones that were a blast. We had some that were really trying. Either way, it was good to help try to encourage and empower the leaders.

Doing manuel labor and hanging out with the kids at this human trafficking prevention organization was a blast.

5. Hospital Visits in Tanzania
We only did this a few times, but I loved every minute of it. We saw people come to know the Lord and the Spirit minister to people through suffering. Patients are generally open to the gospel because they have an acute understanding of their frailty.

6. Street Kids in Uganda
Twice a week we spent time hanging out with the street kids in Busia, Uganda and feeding them. Jesus did some sweet stuff with this, including bring kids to the Lord and healing some physical ailments. My heart just broke for these kids and the horrible situation they were in.

7. Preaching in Rwanda
Going to church 6 days a week in Rwanda had its upsides and downsides, but it definitely pushed me in my speaking abilities and I learned more about how to let the Spirit speak through me.

8. Village Evangelism in Nepal
Hiking to tiny, remote villages in the Himalayas to spread the gospel? Yes please.

9. Special Needs Orphanage in Vietnam
I wish we could have spent more time here! I loved playing with the kids and helping the toddlers learn to walk and just making them laugh. The ages were anywhere from babies to teenagers. It was humbling to see how many of them had unbelievable joy.

10. Meeting Random Westerners all across the World
There always inevitable ends up being opportunities to converse and share Jesus when you see a random white person amidst the Africans or Asians. Whether it is just talking about my trip, listening, or actually getting to share the gospel, opportunities abound.
