Butterfly Redemption

We are living in Talanga working with a ministry called Heart of Christ. I sleep in a hammock every night and wake up to the sun rising over the mountains and through the clouds. A couple of us hiked up the mountain and watched the sun rise. We worshiped and saw Gods beauty. There was a butterfly that landed on this girls hand. It was a beautiful picture of the transformation and newness that God has done in our lives. Redeeming

The butterfly is a caterpillar and then goes into the cocoon. It is a struggle in the cocoon it's tosses and turns an fights and comes out as a beautiful butterfly. This is the transformation that we go through with God. It can be a struggle a true fight at times.

He transforms us and even redeems and restores us to what we where created to be.

The story of redemption is what we all have! You may still be going through yours. I want you to remember that our Heavenly Father makes beautiful things out of us.

Let me encourage you with some redeeming stories of the children we work with this month.

There are two teen moms. We worked with who are 16 and 13. Each having beautiful 1 year old daughters. Both of these girls where raped and abused by their dad and another her uncle. Once these male figures found out that the girls where pregnant they abused their daughter and niece even more so no one would find out. They ended up getting away to Heart of Ministries where papa Lee and Momma Gracie are raising them to be mighty women of God and great moms. The daughters are little princes and one has a little attitude sometimes. One just learned how to walk when we where their. These moms come out to the villages with us as we look for other victims of abuse, disabled kids and kids that are under the age of two. So we can help them receive food. Also to help the victims and help the kids with needs to get into a program. These teen moms come out and pray for the people in the villages. They anointed the sick with oil and saw people get healed. Their stories are being redeemed by the power of Love.

This little boy who is almost three looks like he is one because he was a drug baby. He is possibly the cutest little boy in the world. He is such a little man. His mom tried running away with him a month before we got there. She jumped from the second story over the fence to get away. They got Christopher back but he is always asking for mommy. She has run away with a guy doing drugs. He has so much joy and loves life. He is in amazing hands and his story is being redeemed by the power of love

Their is another little boy who had a 18 pound tumor all the doctors said there was no hope. His spiritual mom Gracie fought for her son and said, "my God is bigger". He ended up getting the tumor the size of a football removed. He has 40 some stitches and his mom tells him that those are the marks from Jesus saving his life and he needs to be proud of them. His story is being redeemed by the power of Love

He is completely normal looking 3 old boy!

There are two other little boys who are my favorite! I love running around with them. They are such boys, from playing in the dirt to throwing rocks and having water fights! They have both been sexually abused and that had affected how they treat each other. One of them the mother has and is trying to sell him into sex trafficking. It is amazing to see the love in their eyes for us, each other and papa Lee and Gracie. His story is being redeemed by the power of Love

There are two Cerebral palsy girls who are 9 and 11. One was given to them at the age of 5 who weighed 17 pounds. She was also verbally and sexually abused. She is doing a lot better and I believe she will walk someday! If you see ether of these girls and look at them in the eyes you will see Jesus! Jesus glows through them with a laugh and when ever they hear worship music they get so excited!

Their story is being redeemed by the power of Love

Every single one of these stories have been redeemed by our heavenly fathers love. Through these two amazing missionaries Gracie and papa Lee! The love that they show and their workers show towards their kids is truly the heart of God.

Let me encourage you that our Heavenly Father loves you and has his hand on your life. He is and wants to rewrite your story and redeem you. Just let go of the pen and give it to Him! You are new you have a blank peace of paper. It's awesome! Let Him write your Story of Love!
