First, for you:

I want to encourage you all to comment as much as you’d like to my blog this year.  While I love feedback, it also feels great to hear that the story I told or lesson I shared actually sunk in with some people!

It may also be helpful for you to subscribe to this blog by simply entering in your email address on the left-hand side.  All this will do is send you a very short email only when I’ve made a new post (no junk mail).  Since I only post about twice a week, this won’t be as much of an annoyance as it will a helpful reminder.

Now, on to what I’m thinking for me:

I am  BLESSED!

Yesterday marked the first day of many “see-ya-laters” for me.  Leaving Elon and Peoples’ Memorial Christian Church for the last time before I travel away for a year was much tougher than I was prepared for.  I know this is only the beginning of the time to say goodbye to many more people, but I just want everyone out there to know how huge the people of this church have been in my life the past four years!  My faith grew with them so that I could recognize God working in and around me and calling me to follow Him more closely, which is what led to my application to the World Race.

To Pastor John, Shannon and Cherese, Brian, Carolyn, the Watsons, the youth group, my Sunday morning Bible study group and the ENTIRE congregation: I love you all so much and I’m so thankful to have been a part of the PMCC family!  I will be back! (with or without the beard… still not sure)

Here are a few pictures from last night (I’m sorry I didn’t get more!):
