Have you ever felt in your walk with Christ that there has to be more?
Have you ever been caught in the trap of religion?
Have you ever found yourself living for God without really knowing Him?
I believe we were meant for more than that and our time to step up is now!
I have learned and experienced so much through my journey on the World Race as well as my time here at CGA (Center for Global Action). God has broken off my former habits of pride and religion, and replaced them with humility and purpose. He has placed in me a deep love for cultures and places that are not my own, but accept me and invite me into their lives. I found that I have a much stronger pull specifically to those that are harder to reach; whether it is because of hard terrain, government restrictions, or dangerous environment. God has burdened my heart for them because they are still worth fighting for and worth the effort because Jesus loves them. Many people will write them off because it is way out of the way, or the government doesn’t allow us to go and preach there, or it is not fully developed and anything could happen at any moment. I know though that our God is going there so why ignore that invitation to come along? I don’t want any of those factors to hinder someone from having the opportunity to be introduced to their Father who has been longing to have and to hold them for so long. In that moment it is me saying “Here I am Lord, Send me!” meaning its worth it all, and I will do whatever it takes for unreached people to see the hope and joy that comes from Jesus.
I am planning a trip for this summer through a program called Kingdom Journeys to do just that. It is a trip for young, passionate, godly men to go and walk in the authority that we were meant for. Read through the book of Acts and see what is different now versus then. Paul, Peter, James, John, and all the other apostles all walked in incredible authority and boldness to preach and bring the Kingdom of Heaven wherever they went. They walked wherever they went, it didn’t matter the obstacles in their path. They for sure didn’t let anyone stop them or run away when someone said you can’t do this you cannot mention the name of Jesus. They didn’t pray for healing, they said “GET UP!” They knew that ALL authority was given to Jesus and He sent them out with authority over all the earth. Why do we think this stopped? The God in those stories is the same God we worship today. That is the way I want to walk during this season in my life. That is what I pray for in the men who will join me on this incredible journey.
So on this journey we WILL go where they tell us we can’t and DO what they tell us isn’t allowed. We WILL bring healing and wonder to people where they can’t deny the power of the Holy Spirit. We WILL introduce people to their Father for the first time. We WILL do these things because we are walking in the Spirit, and He goes before us and stays behind and continues all things. We are mere vessels but we know who we are and who is working and the power that we have through He who has sent us. To God be the Glory!
I wrote this blog both to share my heart and vision with you all, and to maybe challenge you in your way of thinking.
Are you willing to give it all and do whatever the Lord is asking of you?
Do you feel confident and adequate to complete the tasks that has been given to you?
Do you trust that God has already equipped you before He asks anything of you?
Are you ready to walk in authority and dominion over all things in your life?
