Hello everyone or sawa dee krap . Sorry if this post is a little lengthy, I just wanted to share what God has spoken to me today. Tonight at worship, a former racer that is working here in Thailand shared with us a song. It was a song that he had found on the race that really spoke to him. As the song played the guy singing shared the story of how the song came about. His son who was four years old came into his studio and said, “daddy, I want to write a song about Jesus”. God spoke through that four year old child and he together with his dad, wrote this song. This is such a simple song from a child’s point of view. It is easy to say Oh how cute and not get the message behind this song. As I listened, I almost began to cry because I wish that I still thought that way. Listen to this song and imagine yourself as a child and how different your views would be.

“At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven”.” Mathew 18:1-4

Hearing that song really made me think. How I wish that I still trusted in the Lord as a child does. Everything is truly possible to a child. If I tell an adult that our God can move mountains he will say yeah I know but do we really believe that? I mean really? But if I tell a child that If you pray that a mountain will jump then it will jump what does he/she do? They pray that it will happen because they 100% believe that it will. We say that we have faith but do we really? I believe that we serve a living God who can do amazing, imaginable things. He can move the mountains. He can raise the dead. He can be hope where there is no hope, and He can take control of any situation no matter how powerful the influence of evil is because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. The best thing about that is that we have the power to do these things because God lives in us. The same Spirit that worked through Peter and Paul lives in us today. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13. I can’t imagine our potential if only we could really and truly believe that, but because we are adults and are so smart, it is hard for us to truly believe in childish things like that. God I pray right now for childlike faith, and childlike joy, and childlike hope and love. I pray that I can truly trust in you and believe that you can really do anything and that you have given me the power to do anything through your Holy Spirit. 

If only we could reach that point then the next step would be so much easier. The next step being truly surrendering your life to God. 

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:14-19

Pay attention to this next part. in verse 20 it says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”

My dad loves me and has always wanted the best for me. Growing up he gave me advice and he led me the way that I should go. He never led me astray or down a path that would cause me to stumble, instead he raised me up to be a man and to stand strong. I am eternally grateful for him.

In that same way, why is it so hard to trust our life to our Father? He knows what is best for you, and He has a plan for you. (Jeremiah 29:11) We can accomplish a lot in our lifetime. We may obtain riches, or love, or a high status; but we may never know what our life could have been with the power and direction of our Lord Jesus Christ. He can do IMMEASURABLY MORE with our lives than all that we could ever imagine. We just have to take that step of faith, and SURRENDER. 

I don’t know about you guys but I want that. This is just my temporary home, but that doesn’t mean that I am just going to sit around and wait for the rapture! I am here to make the biggest impact that I can and to bring as many people with me in the end as I can. 

I encourage you all to never be satisfied and complacent on where you are and what you are doing. You can always do a little more and try little harder to reach that one extra person. Does a shepherd not rejoice more over finding that one lost sheep, than over all the others that he still had? God is still working in this world, and He has chosen “you” to do His work. What an amazing privilege that is amen? Let us all run to Him like little children and spread joy and laughter over all the nations, in Jesus name!
