I desire more, but often feel trapped in the daily duties that have become my life. For years “more” seemed like a distant goal that would be reached some day. Approval is deeply integrated into our mindset. Because of this we often dismiss our innate desire for “more” and replace it with comfort, activity and approval seeking within our community.
The life that you desire looks different than you think it would.
It looks like forgetting about yourself. It looks like living a lifestyle that empowers others. It looks like putting others before yourself. It looks like sacrificial love.
Live your life for something big, but don’t do it on your own. Let Abba God do it in you.
In the past two weeks I have showered twice, saw myself in a mirror once, and have had a mustache that would scare the average person- don’t worry it’s gone now. But I feel more fulfilled than ever before.
Separate yourself from what is normal. Start small. And take each day as another step. Take a risk. Life for truth. Let God do it in you. You may be scared to let go. But remember, God will take you on a unique journey that you never thought possible. It will be better than you ever imagined.
