I like to procrastinate…well, I don’t know if I like it, but I do it a lot. I have done it my whole life. I just like to take my time…just ask my parents, I think I drive them crazy sometimes.
It really bothers some people…but I just like to think I am a “stop and smell the roses” kind of guy.
Somewhere in college, I picked up a motto that just fits me…if you know what I mean. That motto is, “If you wait until the last minute, it can only take a minute.”
What this means to me is that the work load in college can be very stressful. I would watch people around me stress out because they had a paper due in 3 weeks…so I would do the same thing…I would get all worked up, but I always found myself writing most of the papers hours before it was due. So after stressing out for a while, I just decided to wait until the last minute and it always worked out.
Now I could enjoy myself. Everyone around me would stress out, but I could just relax. I would just wait until the last minute, stress out for a little bit, and then crank out a paper.
But that leads me to a problem on the race, I have all of these stories that I want to write to share with you guys…but there is no deadline. So I just keep putting them off. And now I can look back and there are stories that I wanted to tell you guys a couple months ago…but I just never got around to it. My deadline never came and neither did the stories for you guys.
So I just want to apologize to you all, especially my supporters. I feel like I have let you down.
So I am going to start writing some of them for you guys…because it is Better Late…Than Never.
For the record, I am in Swaziland right now, but I am leaving with my team tomorrow morning to Mozambique. I don’t know what our internet will be like if we have it at all. I will do my best to get some stories to you ASAP. Hang in there with me…I am learning. Thanks for being patient with me so far.
