So we’re about halfway through the race. I, along with many others, are hitting a mid
race wall. The initial excitement of the
race, which didn’t last too long for me, has worn off, and I’m beginning to
feel overwhelmed. Africa is draining and
homesickness seems to hit the worst when things are so different from home as
they are in Africa. So this might not
help my homesickness, but I figured it would be entertaining and fun to
do. So here is a list of what I miss the
most from the States. Obviously I miss
my friends and family, y’all know that so that’s my disclaimer, this is a list
of everything except for friends and family.

-Oatmeal Cream Pies

ESPN.com’s ridiculous third-hand sources
-American Idol and for that
manner any reality TV show (except a Jimmy Johnson starring Survivor)
That’s enough about home,
over the last week I have preached a sermon on Missions, taught Microsoft Excel
to the 5 people who passed our first typing test, and helped build the
foundation of a house by mixing mud and water and moving rocks. The health of our squad is still stuggling
though so we need your prayer during our last 2 weeks in Africa. Heather has Typhoid Fever so pray she is
healed and pray that it does not get spread around the team. And I believe the number of people battling
Malaria is up to 10, so please be praying for us.
