So we have finished up another week here in Ireland, and still loving it.  This week could have very well been our most fruitful week of ministry as we were very busy.   Our ministry contacts, Jim and Kathy, were going to be gone all week at a conference so I didn’t know if we’d have a lot to do, but God certainly opened up a lot of doors.  We started early tuesday morning by hopping on the train to Dublin.  We met up in Dublin with a christian mission group consisting of some older men, Mickey and Sam, and a younger lad (Irish term) named Cormick.  These guys evangelize a couple of times a week on the streets of Dublin, Sam and Mickey have been doing this for over 20 years so we went out with them.  Interestingly enough the group brings a sheet of paper, a drawing board and paint to paint little pictures that help them to draw a crowd to talk about the gospel with.  I’ve never done this form of ministry before, but it was very unique and certainly worked at bringing people in to talk in a non-offensive way.  The method was to draw a picture, let one man say a 5 minute sermonette basically outlining the gospel and allow people to ask quesitons to us standing around.  Here is a picture of us on the street with Mickey and Sam.

So yeah either Mickey or Sam would draw pictures that generally would attract a crowd and we are just here waiting around to talk to people.  A couple of conversations I recall were with a Brazilian man named Rodrigo who was very interested in learning more about the gospel.  I also talked to a couple of high school students that knew for sure God did not exist.  Many others had much more cool stories of God working through conversations.
On Wednesday we were able to go and work at a drug rehab center named Betel.  Betel currently houses about 7 Drug and Alcohol addicts.  We were able to help out at Betel all day, some of us painted, others moved furniture and I passed out flyers around town with Jenny and Carrin.  The best part about the day was eating dinner and worshipping with the men at the house.  I really made a connection with a man named Bobby who is close to giving his life to Christ but still is processing everything going on in his life as he’s been in the rehab center for 3 weeks.  Be praying that Bobby will remain clean and give his life to Christ.  Here is a picture of us talking with the guys at Betel.

Bobby is the guy with short shorts and a popped collar, frat stars are present in Ireland also.
On thursday we went back to the streets of Dublin with Mickey and Sam, one cool story from this day was I walked up to a man and gave him a flyer about Betel.  He asked more questions about the center and began to tell me his story, well he said he plans on checking himself into Betel so I hope he does, his name is Jonathon.
Jim and Kathy are back here this week so ministry should stay busy.  I’m doing well and enjoying our ministry, but I am ready to encounter more of God.  I am praying to experience more of his manifest presence and I don’t want to continue on in life without experiencing more of God.  So continue to pray for Subboor (previous blog), Rodrigo, Bobby, and myself.  I hope this was a decent blog, its hard cause I have so many things to say but I don’t want to have too long of a blog, so I’m sorry if it seems like I just cut out ideas before I get into them, I’m still learning how to do this. Until next time, God Bless.
