His name is Antoine. Antoine came to faith in Christ today, and as I told him earlier he is my new brother in Christ. We were ministering today in Kibera (the second largest slum in Africa). Antoine approached me to pray for him about his school fees. I prayed for this and after I got done I asked him if he knew Jesus. Antoine did not speak English well so I called over my African brother, Phillip, to translate for me. Antoine claimed he did not know Jesus so I presented the gospel to him. I asked him after I finished talking what he was thinking about and he said “I want to know Jesus” So Phillip prayed with Antoine and he became and new brother.
Antoine came to church with us to pray this afternoon where he was able to be encouraged by many believers. Things will still be tough for him, he is an orphan. He lives with his 20 year old sister and does not have enough money to pay for his schooling. However, he has hope in Christ. And praise God that he uses the weak things of the world to shame the wise. Please pray for our new brother, Antoine.
