HAITI!!! Wow wow wow. Haiti is really cool. The first couple days here was an adjustment for me but now I feel more comfortable. There are so many kids here. When we arrived the first night we pulled up to the house late and there were sooo many kids standing in front of the gate waiting for us. It was super sweet. They were giving us all high fives and trying to help us carry our bags in.

We have been busy every day so far! We have done house visits, evangelized, VBS, worked with the elderly, bible studies, choir practice for Sunday’s and we’ve played with the kids outside of the gate on the street and at the beach. My favorite so far is the VBS. My team and I taught them about the prodigal son today. We sang a song, played a game and also put on a skit for them. We had a dance party which was super cute because right as soon as the music turned on a couple of the kids instantly stood up and danced. At the end of all the activities we all played around the yard. I was a human jungle gym. I had a kid on my back and also my front and they were doing flips off of me. It was insane, but they all had huge smiles on their faces so it was worth it. There is a little girl here named Linjana and she gets very jealous when I play with other kids. She likes to have me all to herself so when other kids were trying to jump on my back she would start pushing them away so she could get on my back instead. At one point there were 4 kids pushing each other to trying and jump on my body somehow. It was crazy. I’m probably going to be sore tomorrow, but it’s fine.

So yeah, Haiti’s great. Life’s great. The food is great. The ice and fans they give us are great. The 90 degree weather is great. God’s great.
