“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Ephesians 4:22-24
During TEC 63 this was the verse we were focusing on throughout the weekend. For all of you who don’t know what TEC is, it’s Teens Encountering Christ. I have been involved in it for the last 2 years. This verse has been stuck in my head for the last month and I felt pushed by God to share it with everyone.
I have been trying to apply this verse to my life by putting off my old self and making my new self to be more like Christ. I have always been scared of what others think of me. How I look, how I act and always trying to please others by changing my personality to ‘fit in’. I have finally decided that none of that is worth it. I am done caring what others think of me because God is the only one who can judge me. I’m ready put on my new self created to be like God!
