I thought you might enjoy an excerpt from my updated support letter….

            “Over
the course of my year and a half of serving with The World Race the Lord has
provided various opportunities for me to step into leadership. I have been
blessed with the opportunity to co-lead a World Race squad this past January
and I am preparing to lead another squad out in July. I will travel with this
squad for their first four months on the field and will also travel back out to
meet the squad at various points throughout their 11 months, as with the January
squad. In our first four months we will travel to Haiti, Dominican Republic,
Ireland, Serbia and Hungary.

            As
God continues to open doors to serve, and asks me to walk through them, I am
confident he will continue to provide for my financial needs and prayer needs.
Before leaving in January my financial goal was $10,000 for the year, and
$6,735 has been raised as of May 10. Thank you to those who have helped make
that possible! Since agreeing to lead another squad in July, an additional
$5,500 has been added to my goal, making my new total $8,765. This amount will
allow me to continue in ministry with The World Race through June 2011. The
options of one-time donations or monthly pledges are available. I have
calculated that if 30 people commit to giving $25 each month, I will
practically meet my goal!  Of equal
importance is prayer support. I am asking for people who will commit to pray
for me regularly. I will send prayer partners a monthly update of specific
prayers requests along the way. If you would like to commit to being a prayer
partner, please contact me via e-mail at [email protected]
. I ask that you consider
supporting me in one of these ways. It means the world to me to know that
people are committed to supporting me each month in prayer and financially. I
would be honored to have any support that you are willing to give.”

I am THRILLED to serve
another squad on the field. This is my passion. I have watched God move in
World Race participants’ lives in miraculous ways and I cannot afford to watch
my generation sit in complacency. I know first hand that the World Race
provides a venue for people to recognize their identity in Christ and walk in
it. This truly can be a life changing experience, and I am elated to allow God
to use me in participants’ lives.
