God is a clever guy. He always seems to give us exactly what we need, when we need it. Shocking, right? WRONG! God loves to bless us, even with the simple things! Here are some simple things that God has blessed me with while in the Ukraine:

– A kitchen – We have the opportunity to make our own food in our apartment! It is primitive by American standards, but luxurious by World Race standards. Thus far we’ve made chili, cookies, potato soup, and perogies (how do  you spell it?). I love it!

– A bathtub – Remarkably not only do we have hot water, but we have a semi-clean bathtub! Hooray! My joke is that my love language is hot tubs…which has not been met thus far on the World Race. So, a bath is only one degree away from a hot tub right? I have been blessed to soak in the tub twice now!

– Dance class – One of our translators, and new found friend Vika is a dancer. She asked me to come to class with her and also to choreograph a dance for the group to perform at the end of the month. Hooray! In India I was just commenting on how I missed dance class and being in that sort of dance setting. So, God blessed me with a dance class and God blessed Vika with a helping hand for choreography (which she was praying for before I came here!).

– Coffee shops – Yesterday Dan, Brandon and I sat in a local coffee shop for a little while. We shared a cup of coffee, checked the e-mail, and chatted. It was a lovely time relaxing in a familiar setting. *Sigh*

– Inside jokes – There have been SO many opportunities full of laughter while hanging out with my team. I don’t want to boast, but we are one hilarious group. Whether walking down the street, riding in the marshuka, sitting around the dinner table, or hanging out in the kitchen, we are constantly laughing. I love it!

Those are but a few of the little blessings God has provided while in here in the Ukraine. One things is certain, God IS good!
