Real Life Training Camp: Day 5
Another fabulous day at camp! Today we facilitated various experiential activities for the Real Lifers. One of those activities was to provide GIANT blank canvasses and paint for each team. They were asked to spend time praying together, asking the Lord what his vision is for their team and the country they are going to.

I only took a picture of the blank canvasses because they will finish
them TODAY! You will get to see the completed pieces of art later today!
Stay tuned!

Another activity we facilitated was a culture and evangelism segment. I did not get any photos because I was busy being a part of the “tribal people”. We simulated a tribal people who has never seen Westerners. The participants’ roles were to be missionaries to the tribe. I got real into it and even ate a piece of pine cone and tried to get the missionaries to also! Wish I had a picture of THAT!

We also had a great time of worship where we encouraged listen to the voice of the Lord and encouraging each other.

The participants discovered:
a) God really IS talking to them
b) taking time to listen is FRUITFUL
c) words ARE powerful, encouraging, and life-giving.
PRAISE GOD!!!!!
Today is the final full day of Training Camp! Please continue praying for these teams!!!!!
Once again, thank you all for following along these blogs! I am thoroughly enjoying the interactive aspect. You questions and comments are a great encouragement to me!!!!
On to today’s answers:
Q: If people want to send you or other
racers care packages do they send it to the regular address for
financial donations? Or somewhere else?

A: We do not facilitate getting mail or care packages out to our groups on the field. The reason behind this is that mail systems in most of the countries we send teams are inefficient. In many cases the mail will not arrive in the amount of time a team is there and then our contacts in those countries will then be held responsible for the packages because their address is on it. Through our experiences over the years, we’ve learned that the best way to handle mail and packages is to ask teams to go without mail for the duration of their time on the field.

While in the US we can however receive any and all mail you are willing to send!
