I believe God loves it when we practice.
“Practice what?” you ask.
Hearing his voice.
Speaking what we hear.

Doing what he asks.

He is a good Daddy,
watching his children with a smile on his face.
Like a Daddy watching his child take their first steps,
he revels at our attempts,
loving the fact that we’ve tried.

At World Race Training Camp we are blessed to worship with Jonathan and Melissa Helser. They are incredibly gifted worship leaders who have become like family to us here at AIM. This time they brought their children Cadence and Haven with them to camp.

One night of worship we got to see Jonathan and Melissa paint a clear picture God’s love and grace. Their nine-year-old son Cadence walked onto the stage in the middle of worship. He stood next his mother and she moved from the microphone and allowed him to take the lead. He looked up at her for reassurance as he cautiously began to sing “Resurrection in my veins” repeatedly into the microphone. Melissa stood by him with loving looks, encouraging words, and support. As Cadence’s confidence was built up he began to sing louder. At one point both Jonathan and Melissa were standing on either side of him, both beaming and clearly blessed and thrilled by the obedience and boldness of their nine-year-old son as he moved in response to what the Lord was asking. Standing on a stage in front of hundreds of adults, this nine-year-old was leading us in worship. Come to find out, Cadence had never done that before.

I was so blessed to see this incredibly pure and beautiful picture of the Father’s love for us.  Watching us as we step out in faith, no matter what it looks like. He LOVES when try!

What is God asking you to TRY today?!!!!
(Turns out trying, no matter the outcome, is succeeding as far as God is concerned!)
DO IT!
