Recently I’ve started a fun thing where if a person I’m talking to shows any interest in what I’ll be up to over the next year, I hand them my “business card”. I suppose it’s less of a business card and more of a picture of me, an icthus, and my blog address, but you get it.
Anyway, I’ve been amazed how receptive people are to this idea. I’ve run into complete strangers and ended up chatting about what I’m up to and given them some info. to follow up if they’re interested. This has happened to me at the doctor’s, the pharmacy, bridal showers, restaurants, antique stores and more. It’s wild! I met a woman yesterday who told me she doesn’t know me at all, but she’s proud of me. That’s awesome!
