You may recall a blog I wrote at the beginning of my time in Haiti. It was in regards to the Lord answering my prayers to break my heart for what breaks his. Well, he BEGAN to answer that as explained in my blog “God the Heartbreaker”. I use the word began intentionally, because I haven’t stopped praying that prayer, and God continues to be faithful.
Our first week in Ireland, The World Race held the Awakening Conference where all the squads on the field came together with staff and alumni for an incredible time of worship and teaching. In that time my prayer continued to be “Break my heart for these people. Give me eyes to see them the way you do Lord”. To no surprise, the Lord answered my prayer as I found myself face down on the ground, weeping and snotting all over the floor because the Lord began to reveal how much he loves these people. I am a part of these people. I could say nothing but “Thank you Jesus” as the Lord began to reveal how much he loves ME. My heart breaking for them showed me how God’s heart is breaking for me. Outstanding.
