Yesterday I said my goodbyes to life as I’ve known it in Michigan for the last 24 years, and set out on a week of “pre-game” in San Diego. In only three short days I will meet up with a group of people I love to leave the country for eleven months around the globe. Exciting!
Here’s a little recap of what I’ll be up to:
My Squad!
My Team…Transformers!
Helen, Dan, Patrick, Sarah, Me, and Alex
October’s Project:
Working with Kids International Ministries (KIM) in Mindinao, Philippines.

As I’ve said goodbyes to friends and family in Michigan, God has shown me that his church is bigger than what I may have thought. So, I have found joy and excitement in leaving the comfort and familiarity of “home” to let God stretch and grow me as I join and visit my family around the world. It’s one thing to know that God’s idea of community is different from mine, but I am thrilled to actually experience it. Let the games begin!
