A few weeks ago my dad called. We chatted like we usually do and he asked if there was anything he could be praying about for me. The two things at that time that were sort of weighing on me were finances and logistics related to some ministry set up. I had checked my support account earlier that day and saw no new activity. I had made phone calls and sent out e-mails for the ministry set up and hadn’t heard from anyone recently. I was discouraged. So, we prayed.
Later that day I happened to check my support account again and I sat starring at the computer screen with tears rolling down my face. I had received an anonymous donation for $1,624.
Until now you have not asked anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
John 16:24
Do not underestimate the power of the Lord. His word is true, and he is faithful. My dad and I asked and I am confident that if I would have checked my support account immediately after saying that prayer, the money would have been there. Prayer is powerful. YOU HAVE POWER THROUGH PRAYER. God is listening, so we better started talking to him.
