What has this month taught me?
How has Cambodia changed my life?
What did God do here?
I don’t even know where to begin.
Cambodia is a country of it’s own,
and Phnom Penh is quite the city.
It is hot,
and crowded.
But the people here make this place amazing.
I have seen more people smiling than not,
I have seen joy in the worst circumstances
and I have been encouraged just watching people.
This country may be one of the poorest countries we have
seen on the race,
but they are rich in JOY.
As I said in my previous blog,
we worked mostly with the slum community.
The community changed my life.
Not only the children,
but the adults too.
We got the chance to visit some of the older people
in the area and they, just like the children, are filled with life.
“God I see you in the streets of the slums.
I see you working and moving in the people that live here,
and in the people that have dedicated their lives
to serving here.
God you are doing so much in this place.
I am so blessed that You chose me to come here.
That you picked me to be the lap these sweet babies sit on.
You picked me to be the one to come sing silly songs,
and do silly skits with these children.
To come and be a jungle gym for them to crawl all over,
to hang on
and to jump on.
Even on the days I felt like I didn’t have the energy to
play, You gave me just enough to get through the day.
God you taught me the true meaning of Joy here.
These children and the older generation in this community
are worth it.
So even though this month was crazy hot at times,
I thank you God that You gave me such an amazing
ministry to work with that made it all better.”
I am leaving a piece of my heart here,
and in return I’m taking smiling faces and the sound of laughter
that will forever be imprinted in my memory.

It is time for month 11.
Malaysia here we come.
What better way to finish this journey than being on an Island
surrounded by my best friends, and hopefully a beach,
serving the King! 🙂
Flying out in the morning!
31 days left! crraazzzzyyy!
