Dawn is breaking, and I never cease to be amazed at the beauty of the clouds from the plane window.
In the chaos that was the months before the race, I apologize for not having been blogging more. Here, a snap shot list of just what I’d been up to:
*An international move.
*Preparing for a yard sale.
*Finding out the neighbor is having a yard sale the following weekend, so agreeing to yard sale #2. ( Like fishes and loaves, I swear things kept multiplying!)
*Boxing up my room with all my remaining belongings to prep it for painting while I’m gone.
*Fundraising, fundraising, fundraising, and spreading the word as much as possible about this journey, including 2 TV station interviews and a lovely article by my local paper, as well as speaking to the congregation at Kennewick First Presbyterian where I grew up, as well as a *very* blessed evening speaking to the high school group there.
*Unexpectedly playing not one, not two, but *three* music shows, which often turned into unexpected fundraisers.
*Attempting to get in some quality time with friends, including a precious visit from a college buddy, and family, including enjoying a local winery with dad, being able to watch one of my mom’s tap performances, (yep, mom’s a *tap* dancer!), memorable craft nights with my sister in law, and can- crushing recycling fun with my brother!!
Non-stop.
For everyone who has helped with these endeavors, and/or been supporting me in prayer, thank you can not be said enough!
I am thankful for long plane rides to catch my breath!
Being re-united with my team was so amazing, though we still await the reunion of the team leaders, logistics and finance members who went before us. S-Squad will be together again in a matter of hours! ! ! !
Grace and Peace from San Salvador, El Salvador!
