We then headed on another plane around 8pm to Doha,Qatar….got off the plane and headed on another plane to Johannesburg, Africa. Landed in Jburg around 8am.
I’ve never been on a plane for so many hours!
Got to J-burg and found out our bus had been canceled…so we stayed over in a hostile for 2 days trying to get a bus.
We left J-burg on Tuesday ….had to sleep at 2 borders on a hot bus, with 65 stinky people …no air, no food, no water… in the middle of Africa…..finally got to Blantyre, and then caught a public bus which was about 12 hours long to Mzuzu. Soo…84 hours later we finally made it to Mzuzu…where we are working with the Pentecostal Holiness Church.. These people are amazing..such a God sent. I’m worn out…but sooo excited to see what God is going to do here in Mzuzu…:)
The people here greeted and grabbed our luggage, brought us a hot basin of water to wash with, grabbed our laundry to wash, and gave us food. Sooo this travel week hasn’t been the best days of this trip…it really has been the worst trying week of my life. I felt like giving up and turning my back many times..I just wanted to go home..I was cranky…aggravated with everything and everyone.. I wasn’t happy about he PB sandwiches that we had and all I ate for 3 days was 2 apples, and a granola bar. But God was testing me through it all..he doesn’t want me to give up and just turn around.. God always takes care of his people…and i’m sooo blessed with what he has given me… I wanted a coca cola the whole trip…but I had no money no ATM to get money out and the stores don’t take cards…so I was not a happy person… but we got off the bus in Blantyre and we bargained with some locals to sale us some cokes with a few USD that Will had on him… $8 later we had 20 cokes.. which I drank 2 quickly!
So after an 84 hour long bus trip though Africa, a pair of dirty/sweaty clothes, a dirty body, swollen ankles, and a empty Nalgene…we finally made it to Mzuzu.:)
