Ever since Ive been on the race I have been witnessing to many people all over the world. Many have accepted Jesus into their lives. My main mission is to spread the love of Jesus. Today I started to think about all the people (family and friends) in my life that aren’t saved. And I thought to myself…what am I doing? Why haven’t I witnessed to them? Thats when I decided to write this blog.
So are you one of those in my life who aren’t saved?
First question I ask people is: Do you have a personal relationship with God?
Sometimes I hear…yeah I know about God, hes my personal savior….
But a Personal relationship isn’t just saying yeah I know about God, he’s my savior.. Theres more to it. I realized as a young adult that I couldn’t just ride my moms skirt tail and believe everything she believed. I had to seek it out for myself.. I had to have my own relationship with God.
Second question I ask is: If you died today would you go to heaven or hell?
Some say yes, and then I ask How do you know?
In Romans 10:9 it says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
So some people believe you have to take so many steps to be saved and its not that hard. Its as simple as confessing your sins to the Lord Jesus and asking him to come into your heart and that you will be saved.
Jesus already paid for our sins when he died on the cross. So its up to us to just ask for that forgiveness.
It says in Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9. not of works, lest anyone should boast.
I explain how Ive come with a gift. A gift of Jesus Christ…he has a gift for everyone and its up to u to choose to have it. Its better than Christmas.. its a gift that you will have forever.
So if you want Jesus to be the Lord of your life all you have to do is say a simple prayer and truly believe that he will be the light of your life. That you will seek into his word daily.
First…ask for forgiveness, then ask him to come into your life and to direct your life. Lastly I ask that you get a bible and start to read it…start a relationship with Jesus, talk to him daily, talk to him in your trails.. and he will guide your life.
Some people are so worried about going to a church and becoming apart of a religion, but its not about religion its about relationship. But its always good to surround yourself around positive people and also around other believers in Christ.
