As I tell my groups at camp when I lose their attention:

Hey friends, I’m still here, I disappeared for a second, but don’t worry, I’m still here”

After I was unable to launch with my squad this January, I stepped away from all things World Race. I needed a break from the stress of fundraising and other things, but a week turned into a month, which turned into 3 months. Time flies, and we get consumed with other priorities in life, or maybe things we think are priorities. It is important to have your priorities straight, as for me, I feel as if my priorities are constantly changing as I learn more about my life And who I want to be.

So now it’s time for me to work the World Race back into my priorities.

The questions you may be asking:

When will you leave?

I am now planning on embarking on October Route 1.

https://www.worldrace.org/?tab=routes&subtab=october-2018-1

Where will you go?
Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, India, Nepal, Armenia, Georgia, Romania, and Albania

Do you still have the money raised?
My fund account is currently at $4,823 my total goal is now $18,200 (excluding training camp and any additional supplies I may need)

What is your current goal?
My current goal is to have a total of $10,000 in my account before September!

In order to make this possible I am in the process of planning fundraisers. If you know of a successful fundraiser please feel free to share any and all ideas!

Lastly,

Please remember this is not for me. There were many times, I myself, would forget that. This mission is for God, for God to work wonders and miracles. It’s for those around the world feeling lost, lonely, unloved. Don’t donate for me, donate for the people I will meet and the difference God will make.

Stay tuned!

God’s plan is usually pretty great. It is a whole lot better than mine anyway. I’m so glad he does not allow me to win.” -Katie Davis
