How often do you get mad or angry with someone? You let out all of your frustration, your anger over what they did or might be doing wrong. You fight a losing battle, they always seem to win. Or if you happen to win you still have that feeling of defeat. In today’s society, we are blinded by so many things. We don’t hear the whole truth or we here more than we want to know. We put way too much trust in technology and lose the personal interaction between people, causing more stress and anxiety…leading to more fighting. What we do not realize as we are arguing with this person in our life is that you are actually fighting the wrong enemy.
You see, God wants us to succeed, he wants to see us happy and successful, he wants us to feel at peace. So why are we fighting? Why do we find a list of struggles, annoyances, stress; day in and day out? Oh yea…the devil is trying to take over. How often do we actually stop and notice that it’s him doing this to us? He creates that conflict, those thoughts where we are blinded by what we are actually doing wrong. Satan puts our focus on jealousy, lust, doubt. Leading us to ruin relationships, friendships, families. With these conflicts, you begin to look for ways you could change the person. Fix them, knock some sense into them, but that is not our job. Our job is to care for them, pray for them, love them, through all their faults. Pray to God and let him do the fixing. Fight against the Devil. Pray to God. It’s God’s job to change their hearts, so give it to him and breathe. Remember Jesus already defeated satan.
Where else in your life are you fighting the wrong enemy?
With me I feel as if it is through doubt and fundraising.
How do I make people understand the importance of this mission trip? That it’s not about the travel, but the people. God has placed it on my heart that this is what I must do, and yet I struggle. There is doubt as people remind me that “God will provide.” At times it seems impossible. Yet that is the devil and his handy work, leading us to doubt God. God who sent us his only son only to save us from sin, God who blesses us with Grace when we don’t deserve, God who is the most reliable in our life, he who wants to see us succeed.
That being said, I am currently very far behind on my fundraising. I’ve tried to put together a few different fundraisers but they have all seemed to fall through. I have found that the stress, the no’s, the doubt has lead me to hiding instead of reaching out to fundraise even more. I was letting satan take the lead, but not anymore. I am in need of reaching a total of $10,000 by the end of this week. That will put me over halfway funded. So I pray, I pray, I pray, that God works in your heart to give and to share. To help me spread Love and Grace and Kindness to those who don’t know it, and to those who may be fighting the wrong enemy.
