“For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this.” Esther 4:14

Over and over in the two weeks, the words that continue to come back to me (and my squad) from various people, from multiple continents, and from various forms is the second part of this verse: “…for such a time as this.”

For such a time as this, we were just a country away from Nepal when 7.9-magnitude earthquake hits the city that is our next destination.

For such a time as this, we were allowed to be the first AIM teams in Nepal following such a disaster.

For such a time as this, we landed in Nepal expectant of what God is going to teach us here.

For such a time as this, our month looks a little different than we first intended, but I believe that we are doing exactly what we are supposed to be doing here.

For such a time as this, we are excited to start ministry with our newest friends here in Nepal.

For such a time as this, my new teammates push me in a way that I wasn’t challenged before, to walk into something that I wasn’t at first comfortable with.

For such a time as this, the Lord prepared us for our month in Nepal with a hard month in India.

For such a time as this, we are bonded as a squad because of our hard month in India.

For such a time as this, all those long days of training are now a memory that I wish I had paid closer attention to.

For such a time as this, we are here. Exactly where we are supposed to be, doing the very thing that Jesus asked us to do.

To every man there comes in his lifetime that special moment when he is figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered a chance to do a very special thing, unique to him and fitted to his talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds him unprepared or unqualified for the work which would be his finest hour.

-Winston Churchill

For such a time as this, we are in Nepal for the next few weeks.

I am pretty sure I am living out my dreams, doing what I was prepared by God to do in this season of my life. I am thankful the Lord saw it fit to call me to “such a time as this.”

Continue to pray for us!

Until He Comes,
