One of the things I have learned through the process of fundraising is that donor relations is likely one of the most significant things that makes fundraising successful. Taking the time to tell my donors thank you is important to me. I love to save some of my favorite pictures to send to them, or to specifically email them to say thank you for the support.
I can’t do that when it is anonymous. Part of me wants to know your name, your story, and your face. I want to know how to pray for you. I want to send you a post card with a picture from our last country, or at least an email to say thank you. But because you left it anonymous, I spend my days praying for you anyway, telling the Lord that He knows who you are.
I want to say THANK YOU. I want to share with you that I want to be like you: the kind of person who gives without asking for recognition. I want to hug your neck, mail you a post card, and tell you what God is doing in my heart. I want to thank you for being like Jesus, and being a part of my support team even when you won’t get something more out of it. You brighten my day in way that I can’t describe.
Thank you for supporting me, even if I don’t know your name. I am so thankful that we play on the same team.
Til He Comes,
Kristy
