Today is Tuesday. It’s an average weekday: It’s not the dreaded Monday, hump day isn’t here quite yet, it’s further from Friday than some of us want it to be and it might seem like it is just another day. But we can change your average Tuesday.
Today, I am asking that you give $10 to help impact lives around the world. I am asking that you make a sacrifice today in order to be a part of something bigger yourself: something that will impact eternity. Your $10 will impact me, my teammates, my squadmates, my ministry partners, and those we will be serving around the world. Your $10 will go farther than a cup of coffee or a hamburger.
What might you spend $10 on today? Ten things:
A cup of Starbucks for you and a friend, a movie ticket, a meal from a fast food restaurant, a few gallons of gas, a gallon of milk and some cereal, maybe a rotisserie chicken for your family meal tonight, a new top, a new bag of socks, a birthday gift for the child next door, or those new Christmas decorations that you just have to have.
Will giving $10 today break your wallet by next week? Maybe not. But your gift will help me. And it will help orphans in India, widows in Thailand, the men in Bolivia, the pastors in Zambia and hundreds of people throughout the world.
Facebook tells me I have a little over 1,000 friends. If everyone of you could give just $10, then I would be able to raise $10,000 just like that. Would you be willing to sacrifice $10 today?
