What WAS that!

One week that began with the minutes ticking slower than water dripping from a faucet turned into a place where I never wanted to leave. That place was not in Georgia, it was the presence of God.

Training camp was more than a bunch of uncomfortable sleeping circumstances, unfamiliar people, and unfilling food. Training camp was a break from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives where we were free to meet with God. To seek His will for our lives, to feel the joy of His love, and to know the assurance of His grace.

The discomfort of worldly things led me to a reliance on Jesus.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, you are seeking me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves. Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.”
“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst." –John 6:26-27; 35

The discomfort of worldly things led me to an appreciation of the life and abundance I have.
The discomfort of worldy things led me to thankfulness in all things.
The discomfort of worldly things led me to acknowledge the reality of people in places all over the world.

..With all that being said, Training Camp turned out the best.
&& it didn't take long for a bunch of strangers to turn into one big family.

I thought I was excited for the World Race before, but this week took my excitement to a whole new level. The M-Squad men showed us what it was like to be respected and cared for. The staff were incredibly encouraging.  Stories were told, tears were shed, prayer, love, and healing all happened. The bonds that were formed this week could not be any stronger.
..Then to top it all off, we were finally divided into our teams for the year! And I'll let their blogs and hearts speak for themselves, but I would love to introduce my fabulous team: Team Bella La Guerrera <3

Training camp brought me to a place where I was able to meet with God within His creation and among His creation. If this was a taste for how the 11 months on the field are going to be then I'm not sure if I'll ever want to come home.

Please keep my squad, my team, my heart, and my support in your prayers.
