Hey friends and family,
this month we are living across from a school and orphanage that was started 30 years ago by our Pastor's father, Joseph.
There are about 80-100 children here on any given day who eat, sleep, and attend school all in the same vicinity.
Although, because the children are without parents (or their parents are unable to take care of them due to extreme poverty) there is no one to pay for the children's food and education.
Our Pastor asked us from the very beginning if we would pray about helping sponsor a meal for one day while we were here;
and instead of sponsoring just one day, one meal, we wanted to extend the opportunity to our friends and family in the event that others wanted to help also.
Today our team prayed over the orphans, served lunch, played games, and showed a movie in order to make them feel special. We made the day about them, and to finish it off we wanted to post this video (made prior to today) and invite you to partner with us in feeding the orphans.
It costs $60 to feed the entire orphanage for one meal
(so ~$180/day for all)
