Well, I’ve been traveling for eight months now. We have three countries to go on this journey, and at this point traveling has become normal. I am just simply living my every day life. It’s not bad and it’s certainly not glamorous.
Most days, I look like a grungy backpacker. Some days, (once in a blue moon) I wear lipstick in order to look like a cute, grungy backpacker.
Some days I can’t imagine going home. Those days my heart races and my desire to learn all the things from the Lord wells up inside me. All I want is more time to spend learning, growing, and seeing His Kingdom revealed in all the world.
Some days all I want to do is go home. I just miss it. I’ve been blessed enough to experience various different cultures, but they aren’t mine. Ya know? I miss my family, friends, and those grilled hamburgers/steaks.
Some days my mind is filled with Kingdom work, God-given revelations, excitement, wonder, and joy.
Some days my mind is exhausted or just plain blue.
Often times though, I am reminded that my feelings don’t dictate the truth.
The truth is that I am right where God has called me to be; a light- a city on a hill- a beacon of hope. Ultimately, that hope is Jesus. I am here to reveal God’s Kingdom right where I am. What that looks like is always different, but the truth and purpose never change.
This month it looks like a homeless shelter in Malaysia. We pray, worship, pray, hangout, pray, serve food, pray…and repeat.
Overall, the Lord has been teaching me a whole lot about prayer lately. How privileged we are to be able to pray. To praise Him, to thank Him, to intercede, to ask questions, to simply speak to our Father who knows us and loves us.
I have three and a half months before I return to America. Recently, I’ve asked the Lord what He wants from me in these last months and He said my purpose is to pray. I’m not sure yet what that looks like, whether to pray for the people, ministry, countries, etc. all I know is prayer is the answer.
The beautiful thing about prayer is that it doesn’t matter if you’re in the country or not. In fact, it doesn’t matter where you are at all. You can pray wherever and whenever and God will hear you. I’m reaching out to you, in hopes that you would partner with me on this mission to pray.
•Pray that God’s will be done
•Pray for: Malaysia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, and the US
•Pray for good government (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
•Pray for B-Squad
•Pray for guidance, endurance, and joy
•Pray for revelation
•Pray for rest
“…the prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”
James 5:16
