With a heavy and proud heart I said goodbye to my girls today.

I had no idea when I said yes to team leading for three months I was also saying yes to gaining six sisters. I keep forgetting how fast you can grow so close to people.

Throughout the last few months, we’ve seen many sides of each other. The beautiful, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I’ve been simultaneously frustrated and grateful. Especially on the late nights when all I want to do is sleep and I can’t help but laugh with them as they giggle like 9 year olds jacked on sugar during a sleepover.

I’ve been both exhausted and full of energy. Like when it’s been an extra long day and suddenly the conversation turns into an hour long vibrant celebration about all the wild things we witnessed God do that week.

I’ve felt like the disapproving mother, the cool aunt, the big sister, and the best friend all in one day.

and many eye rolls have been shared.

Together we’re a family. We’re sisters.

Together we laugh.

Together we speak the language of sarcasm.

Together we eat whatever foods we can within budget.

Together we drink coffee.

Together we talk about the new things God is teaching us.

Together we get lost in big cities.

Together we giggle like 9yr olds jacked on sugar.

Together we have uncomfortable conversations.

Together we jam out to Ed Sheeran.

Together we go shopping and dress each other up.

Together we’re awkward in social settings.

Together with our beds fixed into one giant bed we watch movies.

Together we’re a little strange.

Together we’re also pretty cool.

Together we throw our hands up and listen for God’s direction.

Together we rejoice in God’s favor.

Together we worship.

Together we intercede.

Together we spread the Kingdom of God.

It has been an honor and a blessing to walk through this season with these women.

…and yet seasons change.

I love these women on a stupid deep level. I truly cannot wait to see what God does through and in them over the next 8 months of their World Race.

We said our goodbyes today…

…and so new seasons begin.

Tomorrow my team will continue their journey with God into Northern Africa. Let me be the first to tell you, Northern Africa is about to be shaken. These women are fierce and sent by God to do wild things. Hallelujah.

Myself and my fellow alumni team leaders have made our way to Malaga, Spain where we have dedicated the next five days for intentional time debriefing this last season and preparing our hearts and minds for the next. Also relaxing a bit before returning to the good ole USofA.

After that? Who knows. Personally, I’ve gained a new perspective and have decided to take a new approach to this next season of my life. I’ll blog more about that later though.

I also want to invite you into praying for my team as they continue their World Race.

Here are some of the things currently on my heart that I am praying over them:

Boldness, endurance, trust in the Lord and one another, peace, guidance, and discernment.

Thank you for reading, supporting, and praying!
