Remember when I packed my life into a backpack and said YES to abiding with the Lord?
Remember when I said goodbye to everyone and everything I ever knew for eleven months to walk in the footsteps of the disciples?
Remember the World Race?
That journey changed my life. I gained a new perspective, grew more than I ever could have imagined, wandered to parts of this world that I could have never dreamed of, experienced healing, and loved beyond myself.
The World Race isn’t just a mission trip. It’s an encounter with God’s Kingdom. It’s an opportunity to serve and love God’s people while the Father grows and disciples you.
For the next three months I have the honor and privilege to LEAD a new generation of World Racers. I will be with them for the first three months of their eleven month journey. As an alumni team leader I’m there to set the culture and be an example in ministry, honor, love, and healthy community.
Where? Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama! (3 countries. 3 months).
When? SOON. Training Camp is happening RIGHT NOW. We fly out Saturday night (June 15th)!
Remember how you supported me in prayer and encouragement? I need that now more than ever. This will be my first experience leading a team. I said yes to this because I know the Father is saying that its time for me to grow in this area. I said yes to this knowing that it might just be the most difficult thing I’ve encountered so far. I said yes with excitement and fear knowing God equips who He calls and He who sent me is with me. Am I right?! I’m telling you, I’m stoked knowing that God is so much bigger than the short comings that I perceive I have. Know what I’m saying?
