Its no secret that I haven’t exactly loved living in the big city, but I have loved these people. Hard.
Since August 13th we’ve been living in Panama City, Panama and partnering with Cru. (Cru is a college campus ministry that began in the US but is now in over 140 countries across the world.)
Our ministry focus here has been connecting with students and fellowship. One of Cru’s goals is to connect students to each other on each campus in order to develop good communities full of God’s love and discipleship.
Jesus is all about good community and trust me, college students need good community and discipleship. This is an incredible ministry and a really cool thing to partner with!
Please enjoy these pictures from the past three weeks!
I deeply love these humans.
This was our first day. Little did we know we‘d fall in love so quickly and deeply…
Cru Panama celebrated their 53rd anniversary! We had the privilege of having lunch at the director’s house and meeting some incredible people!
This was our first day on one of the university campuses. We got to spend some quality time prayer walking. Also the beautiful lady taking the photo is our incredible host, Massiel! (We love her a lot).
This is the end of another day full of prayer and sweet fellowship. Again we love these people so much!
We had a girls night in one evening! One of my favorite nights here. We spent the evening stuffing our faces, laughing, and telling stories about all the crazy things we saw God do in Panama.
This is my team. They forced me to take a back to school photo with them that I ended up loving.
We did some solid evangelism training with the students. We learned some really cool new things!
We had a party in the park! Seriously. These people are amazing.
Its its sad to know we have to say goodbye in a few days. This month God showed me just how important good community is. Its true I haven’t loved living in the city with all the noise and business, but I have deeply loved my community. Its because of them I chose joy over annoyance and peace over frustration. Its because of them that I chose to see the positive and live in a state of thankfulness rather than negativity.
Good community is important because even when the enemy is attacking or we feel distant, our community can fight with us and point us back to the Light.
So thank you Jesus for a solid community!
