Part of our time here in Kadikoy, Turkey has us partnering with a place of prayer. Every morning we join together and spend 4hrs together. 2hours of prayer and worship followed by 2hrs of devotion time. It’s amazing how fast this time goes each day as prayers and songs are lifted up with power and conviction. The heart for the prayer time is to be scripturally based and engage the whole room. Typically someone will read a passage God places on their heart and then pray. The worship leaders will create a short chorus based on the prayer that was prayed and we will all join in and sing it as a prayer to the Lord. I can’t express how powerful it is when Christians lift their voices together in prayer for the nations! As you may have figured out by now prayer and intercession is a bit of a passion of mine. Each week we pray over these topics. My hope is that you will join us this week.

In addition to our prayer time we spend time doing some ATL and striking up conversations everywhere we go sharing the good news we possess. We invite people to English club on Friday nights and the people that are interested in learning more about Jesus we invite to discovery bible study on Sunday night. These are new ministries that are just getting started but I’m excited to partner with our host to get them off the ground and see them grow. They also have a ministry that reaches out to those in need and provide them with food, hygiene products and clothing as needed. I got to be a part of this team on Friday and we literally walked the streets finding families begging and brought them back to their place to provide these physical needs as well as trying to address their spiritual needs. It was beautiful to love people this way. god is moving in Turkey and I am blessed to be a part of it.
Also I don’t think I ever introduced my new team, team Half and Half! Joey is our team leader, then there is Jake, Connor, Leah, and Mary. This is my first coed team and I love each and every one of them! We will remain a team till the end which is crazy enough only 2months away.
