Launch is a crazy time of preparation for our trip. It is 4days of training, encouragement, enlightenment, and bonding. The first night we arrived they told us we would be receiving our key for the journey. Someone who we have never met prayed over us and wrote a word or a verse on a key and gifted it to us for our journey. We got into our teams, met our team leader (Liz… she is AWESOME!!!). And as a group we opened our keys. Mine read “Fearless.” Wow!!! As we went around the circle sharing our key I read mine aloud and my teammates were like whoa, that is definitely the word for you! Even looking back at my first blog this has been a concern for me, fear. It was my first prayer request for myself from family and friends. At training camp during worship one night one of my squad mates came up to me and said I feel God telling me to share a verse with you, it was this: 2Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, and of love, and sound judgement. Do I think God wanted to make sure I got the message???? Yes!!! God took that word and flipped it for me. I want to approach this trip fearless. Not because of me, but because of Him. Because I can stand firm in Him. Because I can rest in His promises and have my confidence be in His faithfulness. Because He loves and cares for me so much that He would repeat a message to me enough times for it to reach my heart. So as we embark on this journey I am doing so fearless!
