What a crazy month! It started with evangelism in the town and home visits and ended with manual labor, village ministry, and beautiful views.

For the first week and a half we passed out newspapers and evangelized in town during the morning. Mostly we prayed for people and invited them to church. In the afternoons we would visit members of the church, or their neighbors, to encourage and share with them.

For the next 10 days we went out into the extremely rural city called Binga, which was hours away. Here we cooked by fire, used well water, and got to use our sweet head lamps! This was my favorite part of the month for sure! Mostly we did manual labor, brick molding, and did village ministry. When I say village ministry I mean walking 15 minutes through forests and corn fields to get to the village which consisted of 4 to 6 huts, yes huts. It was incredible and so fruitful! We witnessed to witch doctors, people who had never even heard the name of Jesus before, and prayed healing over the sick. We saw people who quite literally had nothing but had more faith than you could shake a stick at, it was beautiful!

In the evenings we would worship and fellowship as a family under the endless blanket of stars. It was nice to get back to the basics and see God’s glory in the small things.

After this we had the opportunity to go to Victoria Falls for a day and see God’s mighty work once again. It’s impossible to see a place like that, with such breathtaking beauty and wonder, and not believe in God. It was the perfect end to a month full of hard work, lessons learned, and memories made! His artwork is beautiful, unmatched, and all for us. Oh how our Father loves us!

Update: After 4 days of travel we finally made it to Haiti! We are working with Mission of Hope doing a lot of village ministry, manual labor, and some medical aid as well. Stay tuned for my favorite experience yet and more stories from Haiti!
