Okay so I’ve been in Romania for a little over a week now and I’m excited to let you in on what we are doing here this month!

This month we are in a city called Alba Iulia (which is in Transylvania, no big deal!) and it is all squad month, which means our whole squad is together. We still do ministry in our teams and have different ministry sites, but we are doing life together in the same hostel. So that means getting to hang out with and cooking dinners for 45 people…needless to say it’s been interesting and a lot of fun. In addition to our ministry we also have sessions/teachings from our squad mentor and squad leaders throughout the month. This just helps to better equip us for the rest of our time on the race.

So for the first couple of days here we got to do evangelism in the city which was a really cool experience. Turns out only about 5% of the population here are Christians so pretty much everyone we talked to doesn’t know Jesus. That being said, people have been pretty willing to listen when we talk to them. Of course there is the occasional exception who might prefer to hide behind a pillar to get away from you…yeah that happened. But we’ve already seen several people come to know Jesus and are working to get them plugged into churches here in Alba Iulia.

Other than that our ministry for the month is organizing and running an after school program in the village of Mihalt with one of our hosts, Daniel, and his family. They are seriously some of the best people and they have the kindest hearts, I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with their ministry. It has been so much fun getting to hang out with the kids and worship and learn with them. Tomorrow we get to go visit families in the village, so I’m pretty pumped about that. God is already moving here and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the month holds! Stay tuned for some crazy awesome stories!

Also, although I am already here on the race and doing ministry, I am still fundraising. I have about $6,400 left to raise in order to be fully funded and stay on the race. If you would like to help me continue to serve you can donate on this page, just click the donate button and fill out the information.

Thank you to everyone who has already supported me and continues to do so both through prayer and financially. I wouldn’t be here with out you and we wouldn’t be able to help the hurting and lost people that we have so far in Albania and Romania. You are apart of this journey just as much as I am, so thank you!
