“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to felloship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity — all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people..”

-Acts 2:42-47

I have had this scripture on my heart lately. The World Race is most definitely a journey into community. It is God’s heart that we live this way, always ready to help our brother or sister when they are in need. We currently operate as an “every man for himself” society and that is the furthest thing from the Lord’s heart. I desire to be an example of this in my daily life.

We should be more willing to help one another. We should do our best to see the need in others lives and do what we can to help fulfill those needs. “They shared everything they had.” So, why don’t we? Why are we so concerned what might happen next month when our brothers and sisters have a right now need? Don’t get me wrong I am saying this to myself as much as I am to you. I want us to grow together and these are the thoughts that are provoking my actions.

Here’s how I most recently encountered the Acts Church:

Two weekends ago, I had the opportunity to take a little break from being a care giver to recharge my batteries. It was ordained by God and I am so thankful that He knows just what we need when we need it. I experienced exactly what this scripture states.

I spent time with my spiritual family (my lovely mama and four sisters) praying, worshiping, and discussing the things of the Lord. I have the best support system I could have ever asked for on this journey. They see the call God has on my life for international missions and believe in me, sometimes, more than I believe in myself.

To be able to send me on the World Race, these ladies have a myriad of ideas to make my journey known so others can partner with me.  One of those things will be a yard sale once it gets a little warmer outside.  I spent the weekend cleaning out closets that way we could start gathering yard sale donations. Then, unexpectedly, one of my sweet sisters, in transition of moving apartments brought more boxes. They love me so well and are the epitome of the Acts church in the way that they support and send me.

Today, my biological sister, my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, Kayle, sent me a picture of another fundraiser that I had mentioned doing. I was completely surprised and overwhelmed with the Love of God.

It’s a large sum to have what I need to launch for the race

$18,000 dollars to be exact

Will you pray and ask the Lord if He has sent you to partner and send me?

I would love for us to tell the world about the Love of Jesus

Here are the details of my first fundraiser:

I have 100 boxes who all need love! Let me know if you would like to adopt-a-box! What that means is if you choose box #1 you donate $1.00, box #2= $2.00, etc.

I will be updating my chart on Facebook and Instagram

You can donate using the orange donate link at the top of the page,

You can email me at [email protected]

Or message me on social media

Also, I will be pre-selling t-shirts that I designed with the help of Fund the Nations beginning in January! So be on the look out for that post in a couple weeks!
