Americans have this reputation of being greedy, never being satisfied, and always wanting more. This stereotype usually comes with a negative connotation, but in the Spiritual realm wanting more isn't a bad thing. God encourages us to stay hungry and continue pursuing more.

Talking about things in the spirit involves dealing with lots of things that are mysterious. God is full of mysteries. With time and deeper relationship, much of His mysteries slowly become revealed. It doesn't matter how much we learn about God though, there is ALWAYS more! More to wonder about, more to hunger and thirst for, more to experience.  AND I WANT MORE!

The Bible says to taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8). But after we've tasted of His goodness, should we remain satisfied at the fact that we've gotten a taste?? I don't know about you, but that isn't good enough for me.  It's like Blue Bell ice cream … My first taste of this delectable dessert only made me aware of how delicious it is, and now I want a taste every chance I get! Likewise, every time I get a taste of His goodness or His presence, I'm left longing for more. Always. It never fails. And while I'll eventually run out of Blue Bell in the freezer, there is always more to know and taste and experience of God. God never gets tired of us craving more. He isn't bothered or upset by that type of greed. In fact, the more we seek Him the more we'll find Him (Matthew 7:7-8). And when we find Him we realize that He is more than enough. Oh, the joys of being a child of the King and resting in the knowledge that He is everything that I'll ever want or need, and more!

So in this sense, I don't mind being characterized as a greedy American at all. Jesus tells us that we should be as children when we approach the Kingdom (Like 18:16-17) … Maybe AT&T is Jesus' preferred internet and phone service provider, because they understand that it doesn't have to be complicated … Even children know that more is ALWAYS better than less.
