Forever

Outside of a couple errand runs and going to church, I've spent the last few days locked in my room.  Partially because I wasn't feeling well. Partially because I didn't want to be bothered.  As I venture deeper into this journey I begin to realize that I'm coming closer to the point of no return.  Each new day requires a new, higher level of faith.  So, I spent a few days alone and locked away to write, to vent, to read, to be frustrated, and finally to remind myself of who God is.  

Because of the mind battles that I have been dealing with lately, I decided that it was time for me to write my own psalm.  In my world, speaking is believing and I needed to speak the love of Jesus over myself.  The psalm is based on the format of Psalm 136 where the writer repeats over and over 'His faithful love endures forever'. This was a great reminder of who God is and really helped restore peace within me.  If you're ever in a place of fear, doubt, uncertainty, chaos, or whatever … I encourage you to do a similar excercise. After you've written your psalm, read it out loud and declare it over your life.  You'll be amazed at how quickly your faith will increase and your outlook will change.
