I want you all to know that when I got off our train and landed in Belgrade I had no idea what the Lord had in store for me this month. This month taught me that I need to be intentional with my time and how I spend my day. It taught me that life is ministry. The first two weeks showed me that God is faithful. He hears our prayers and is faithful to answer. After Belgrade, we traveled south about 4 hours to a city called Nis. Here is where God showered me with blessings from above. A warm place to stay. Free warm clothes (it is getting colder and I don’t have enough warm clothes). God cares for our every need. He wants to bless us. Then four of us girls traveled to a town called Bor, for about 6 days. This is where God opened my eyes to a whole other world. Bor is a place where the people experience much poverty. They work with the hopes of getting paid, it is not something that is promised to them. They don’t have the luxury of good healthcare. They have to bring “gifts” to the doctors in order to get well treated. They are the most hospitable people. We visited a gypsy village and the people pooled money together just to be able to have chips and cookies for us when we arrived. They showed us great love even though we were strangers to them. We were so humbled.  All in all Serbia was an amazing month where God provided for us and I found myself in awe of how much He has blessed each of us. All glory and praises to God!
