I wanted to introduce y’all to where I will be over the next year! First up? Guatemala!
Guatemala is located just south of Mexico, and shares a border with other countries such as Honduras and Belize. It is actually the most populous country in Central America, with an approximate population of 14, 647, 000 people. It also has the highest population growth rate in Latin America. Almost half of the population is under 19.

Guatemala’s current currency is quetzales (GTQ), though as one point ancient Mayans used feathers for currency.

There are 23 officially recognized Amerindian languages (~ 40% of the population speaks one).
