As part of a challenge to myself, I try and post five drawings from each country! Here are my drawings for Thailand.
PS Apologies that some are blurry! I’ll try and upload better pictures when we have the internet to do so.
A tribute to the King at a temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Hundreds of yellow flags and lanterns. The bright yellow with the logo is the flag of the King. Such a beautiful sight!
We spend a day touring orphanages in Myanmar (Burma) and Thailand. Here is a drawing of our camera set up at an orphanage in Thailand to film us playing with the kids. We taught the orphans we met to play Ninja, sang songs for them, and prayed over them.
A monk talking outside a temple in Chiang Rai, Thailand (north near the Myanmar border). The Buddhist monks wear bright orange robes and are forbidden to touch women. If they are touched by a woman, they have to go through a 7 day purification ritual. Monks range in all ages as many boys spend some amount of time serving as a monk to bring honor to their families.
I drew this in Chiang Mai during a squad worship session. I wanted my own set of lyrics to some of my favorite worship songs, and writing those lyrics soon became a picture of our beach in the Philippines.
A river in Chiang Mai, Thailand near where we stayed our first week as the Unsung Heroes team. A local man was fishing near the little bamboo pier while a barrage went by in the background.
